"the benefits were quickly apparent, and have been sustained"
I have now been training with Andy for 6 months or so. Andy is an amazing trainer, who takes a really holistic approach to health and fitness. Not only does he construct personalised training sessions to keep exercise interesting and challenging, he offers advice and information on diet, lifestyle and a whole host of really helpful things to keep you focussed (even what’s happening on the latest episode of master chef). He has a great style to really make you work hard and get the most out of your workout (without the "boot camp" rant!). Andy practises what he preaches and embodies all that he teaches.
The benefits were quickly apparent and have been sustained: not least because of Andy's combination of good humour, intelligence, enthusiasm, encouragement and discipline.

Dear Andy,
After eight months of cycle coaching and personal training I thought it appropriate to put pen to paper and say thanks.
Whilst I was making progress with your cycle coaching program I thought a couple of sessions one on one could be useful to improve my position on the bike. It quickly became apparent that I had some real issues with core strength and specific muscle group weaknesses. These had developed over the years as a result of bad habits and years of arthritis of the hip leading up to a hip replacement..
I was a bit fearful of the personal training sessions as I am not the most coordinated person and felt a bit self conscious especially as I tend carry ‘a little’ too much weight.
Well, how wrong I was – I now really look forward to each session and get anxious if I have to miss a session due to work commitments. I can’t believe how quickly a one hour session disappears. How I wish I had taken this on years ago.
Never having done anything like this before I have nothing to compare the Sisu methods to, however there are many aspects of your approach that I believe are unique. Your knowledge of anatomy is very detailed and instils confidence. The variety of ‘exercises’ is incredible even though you are targeting specific aspects of my performance. I personally don’t react well to drill sergeant /boot camp approach to motivation and really appreciate your quiet but firm directions. When I struggle to comprehend some of the complicated tasks you have the ability to analyse and teach in a way that makes comprehension easy.
Your insightful approach to lifestyle analysis and change has been instrumental in my transformation. The net result of all of this is a lighter, stronger and more flexible body that feels different performing day to day tasks. I am feeling stronger on the bike than ever before and am really looking forward to the upcoming criterium season.
Thank you so much for making such a difference. I look forward to many more sessions and the continued success of the Sisu business.
Very truly yours,
Frank, Rowville.
"I am stronger, fitter, more flexible and in better shape than I have been in years."
One day there was a girl who was becoming despondent. She was putting on weight, slowly, but she could tell, and clothes were on the tight side. As she was saving for a big overseas trip, a whole new wardrobe was not an option. Weight loss was the only way. Although the girl had a history (from high school) of great levels of fitness and fab physique, getting back into it all just seemed too hard. But then, a wondrous thing happened! A piece of advertising mail in the letterbox one day informed her that she could have fun exercising and lose weight in the outdoors. Fate had intervened and all would be well.
Yes, I was that girl and I emailed Sisu Fitness straight away. I was training days later and it was fantastic. The exercises were new, interesting and challenging. Within a few short weeks I could see results and my family and friends were commenting. A trip to the beach wasn’t so daunting and buying new smaller sized clothing was a bonus. Every training was different and fun, never boring or dull. Andy is supportive and encouraging but he knows how to make you push yourself to achieve great things. Although I only had a few months with Sisu Fitness, the results are long lasting. I now live overseas but am using everything that Andy has taught me to continue my own training and keep in shape.
Taking that first step into exercise or back into exercise is the hardest. But I assure you that it will be a very easy and rewarding step if you take it with Andy. I am stronger, fitter, more flexible and in better shape than I have been in years. The buzz after a training session, knowing that you have worked hard, and feel better physically, mentally and emotionally, is well worth the effort. You won’t regret it!

"I'm a different person thanks to Sisu Fitness"
For the past seven months I have been exercising with Sisu Fitness and I feel like I am a different person. I am fitter than I have ever been in my life and I get more enjoyment from exercise than I could have ever imagined. This is a VERY different me!
For years I attended a gym where I treated exercise like a chore that I would tick off my list a couple of times a week. Basically I achieved nothing – worst of all I did it with appalling technique.
Now thanks to Sisu Fitness I exercise safely and effectively. I look forward to the challenges of my training sessions each week and always come away from my sessions feeling like I have actually achieved something. I feel strong and energetic, my posture has improved and I fit into clothes I never thought I had a hope of wearing again. Thanks Sisu Fitness!!

"I can run! I can jump! I can do “real” push-ups!!
Three months ago I was lazy and unmotivated and getting more unfit by the day. Andy changed all that.
He started me off slowly. He had to. I can barely run 100m without thinking “are we going to stop soon?”
Andy is a great trainer because he is very encouraging and patient. He trains alongside you so you feel you’re not alone. What I really enjoy is that each time we train; he does something a little bit different. If we do repeat an exercise we may have done before, he’ll make it more difficult. This shows you how you are progressing and that gives you a great sense of achievement. When I look back, I did some exercises with a 1kg dumbbell – I’m now using a 4kg one!
I can now run once around Princes Park, Carlton without stopping. I have walked around there for years but now I am running around it. Maybe I’ll run two laps next week. Who knows what I’ll be able to do soon. I have certainly come a long way in just three months. I feel stronger and my pants are getting looser!"
